Interview and CPD Course

I have had my  interview for the  course I applied for to do a Critical and Professional Development Course at Leith School of Art. I got my portfolio together and took the train to Edinburgh and walked down to Leith with my suitcase on wheels full of paintings and drawings.  It was a scorcher of day and I ended up getting lost so what should have took me 40 minutes ended up taking me 75 minutes.  However the interview went well and the tutor decided to put a spanner in the works and stated he would love to have me on the course but did I really need to be on the course.  He then added all I might need is regular tutorials.  Now why didn't I think of that.  Anyway to cut a long story short I have just had news today that they are not running the course now as staff changes and not enough numbers so that is my decision made for me.

I will be booking some tutorials over the Summer but until then I will just have to keep working and continue to  push this body of  work I am working on and hopefully keep this work ethic going.  I have an exhibition in September so I have to have 30 pieces drawings and paintings ready for it.  I also have entered 3 paintings into Macmillan Art Show Edinburgh and am trying to research galleries that might like to show my work.

So here are a few new small paintings from several days ago, I worked over old work and cleaned up the frames and I am liking the blue grey hues that are coming back into the paintings. These are oil on board and are 15cm square.

I havent been able to paint this last week due to the news and have just been reflecting and gardening.  I can't work when my head is cluttered with stuff so I have been making for my handmade decors business and designing new products.
